My Prime Day Rule: Buy Solutions, Not Stuff

Here's my slightly controversial opinion:

Prime Day is not the time to buy random things because they're discounted.

It's the time to solve problems you've already identified.

If you've spent the entire season saying:

• I need a better way to organize makeup.

• I need a better travel setup.

• I need a backup charger.

• I need a way to keep dance shoes from taking over my entire vehicle.

Then Prime Day is your opportunity.

If you're buying something because it's 60% off and you didn't know it existed yesterday?

Maybe not.

Let's normalize this.

Just because something is on sale doesn't mean it belongs in your cart.

I'm skipping:

• Organization products for problems I don't actually have

• Trendy gadgets I'll forget about in a week

• Anything that requires a complicated explanation for why I "needed" it

Prime Day savings disappear quickly when we're buying things we weren't planning to buy.

How I'm Using Prime Day Before Nationals

My approach is simple.

I'm focusing on products that make dance mom life easier.

Not prettier.

Not trendier.

Easier.

If it saves time, reduces stress, improves organization, or helps me survive Nationals week with a little more sanity, it's worth considering.

If not?

I'm probably leaving it in my cart where it can think about what it's done.
